How do I get salaries into the claim?
Jul 2, 2026
Hours without pay rates understate the claim. Upload whatever payroll paperwork you have and SREDr extracts salaries and work locations so Financials can estimate T661 amounts correctly.
How to use
- Open the claim → Financials.
- Click Upload Employee Financials and drag in your files — mix and match freely: CSV/Excel rosters, T4 PDFs, pay stub PDFs, and even photos of paper stubs. Upload several at once; each file is read on its own. The files themselves are not stored — only the names, salaries, and work locations we extract.
- For each person, SREDr calculates an annual salary from whatever the document shows (hourly rate × hours, monthly or semi-monthly gross, year-to-date, or a stated annual figure) and picks up their work location when a document states a province. Matching names across files — a T4 and a pay stub for the same person — merge into one row instead of creating duplicates.
- Check the reconciliation notes shown with the import results. They cite the source file and the exact calculation used (for example, "$45.00/hr × 2,080 h = $93,600"), and call out any file that could not be read.
- Use Reset Employees to replace the table from a previous claim (names, salaries, types, and work locations) or to rebuild it from this claim's time records. Matching names across lists are combined; people from a previous claim who do not appear in time records are dropped once timesheets exist.
- Use Reset Salaries to apply the agency default salary to everyone, or to clear every amount to $0. The claim value is marked as an estimate until you enter real payroll figures.
- Reset Salaries → Use default salary is only a temporary scaffold — replace those amounts with real payroll data before filing.
- Edit a salary or Work Location cell directly when a single correction is faster than re-uploading. Work Location can be set per person, or left blank to inherit the claim's default province; select multiple rows to set it in bulk. Confirm the estimate updates, then continue with merge cleanup if names are fragmented.
