What if gathering finds no evidence?
Jul 11, 2026
An empty Evidence list after gathering usually means the pipeline looked in the wrong place or for the wrong dates—not that the client did no work. Fix configuration first, then re-run, before you rewrite the narrative.
How to use
- Open Details and confirm Start Date and End Date match the fiscal period where work happened.
- Open Sources. Confirm each needed tool shows connected, then open Configure and check projects, spaces, boards, or repositories are in scope.
- For File Upload, confirm the right files are listed under Uploaded files and that they cover the claim period.
- Open Evidence. If the list is empty or far thinner than expected, fix sources/dates first rather than editing the Submission.
- From the claim header, re-run gathering with Generate Claim Again (full refresh) or continue from an earlier stage after correcting sources. Prefer the least destructive redo once evidence already looks right.
- If gathering still returns nothing, ask the client for an export and add it via File Upload, then gather again.
